This is the homepage for the Apple Valley Junior Volleyball Club and the Apple Valley High School Girls Volleyball Boosters. Together we refer to ourselves as Apple Valley Volleyball, or AVVB.

AVHS Nominates Volleyball Player, Maren Loe, for AAA Award

AVHS has nominated Maren Loe and Zachary Martens for the MSHSL AAA (Arts, Athletics and Academic) Award. The purpose of the program is to recognize and honor high school seniors who have excelled in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the fine arts. The award also elevates academic standards and creates greater awareness of League-sponsored activities and their values. Finally, the award provides member schools of the League with the opportunity to participate in a statewide program that supports, promotes, and recognizes academic and extra-curricular achievements. The 14-3s traveled to Rochester to play at the National Volleyball Center. See the photos of them sporting medals after winning the silver bracket!
The 14-2s played (Jan 8th) in the Panther Play Date in Spring Lake Park, MN and walked out in first place. They had a round robin style tournament, since there were 7 teams total, winning all 6 of our matches. They are headed to Rochester this weekend for the 2-day Frostbite Festival.
The 14-1s started out their season at the Rosemount Classic. They had signed up for a tournament at St. Olaf, but it fell through at the last minute. A number of the girls on this team played in this tournament last year (and won) as players on the 14-2s team. They won their morning pool, playing into the Gold Division for the afternoon. They defeated the a Rosemount team, and then beat Hopkins to take home the coveted t-shirt! Perhaps some parent will send in some photos?

Tryouts for the 2012 juniors volleyball season have concluded, and team selections have been made. Players have all been contacted and informed whether they have made a team and which one. Teams have been posted; see the AVVB juniors page.
