Hello Apple Valley Volleyball players and parents,

Thank you all for attending last night's player parent meeting. Here's a summary of what we went over and a few reminders of actions and key dates:  

Volunteer check - This check will only be cashed if you do not fulfill your volunteer shifts. Each player/player’s family is required to fulfill 3 volunteer shifts. onlyIf you were unable to hand in your volunteer deposit check for $200, you can give your check to your coach to put in the AVVB mail slot in the high school office.
. Pay your booster club fees through the Apple Valley Volleyball website Visit the site>click on the booster fees tab at the top of the page and follow the prompts to pay online. 

Complete the AVVB information form online.

Sign up for your volunteer shifts. Following the player/parent meeting, the sign-up genius was opened for you to sign up for your five volunteer shifts using the QR code on the attached form. These shifts fill fast. See the attached document for QR codes. 

Fundraisers - 

Gerten's Fall Mums - We are selling mums again this year through Gertens. There's a QR code on the attached. Simply share this information on social media, ask friends and family and ensure anyone who purchases a mum enters store 292 and your daughter's name. We are asking all players to try to sell five mums. Players are responsible for picking up and delivering the mums to those who purchase from them. The fundraiser is open now and closes Aug. 22. Players will pick up and deliver mums on Sept. 14 from 4- 7 p.m.

Key dates 

Aug. 24 - from 1-3 p.m. - All team Car Wash 

Sept. 12 - Teacher appreciation night. All players will honor their favorite teacher. We encourage each player to select a teacher and invite them to their volleyball match on Sept. 12.

Oct. 8 - Senior Night - Seniors and Parents will be recognized before the Varsity Game. There will be cake and a full program dinner to follow.

Sept. 24 - VAA Night and Cancer Awareness Night - VAA players and family are invited to attend and varsity team poster signing to follow. Each team will also represent a cancer of their choosing to support. 

Oct. 3 - PowerBuff volleyball matchup where the senior boys play the junior boys and freshmen vs. sophomores. This is a very fun event. Player registration will open on September 4. Admission is free for spectators. 

Nov. 16 – End of season banquet at Crystal Lake Golf Club from 10 a.m. – noon.

Also, please note that we are using SportsEngine. Once you complete your sports engine account and pay your booster fee online, we will be able to add your daughter to the roster. If you've completed the information form online, we may have sent you an email to join. Please check your junk/spam folder. Your player will need to accept the invitation. See the attached instructions for how to create a sports engine account. Parents can search for 2024 Apple Valley volleyball and add the team to your app.
